We arrived outside Loaves and Fishes just before 8 a.m. in the morning and began unloading the boxes of sleeping bags, socks, and care packages we had assembled a few weeks in advance. Amidst the plethora of recipients and other tables, Here2Assist began distributing the materials donated by Bombas, IAY, and our participating students.
The volunteers continuously unloaded packages for the next 2 hours, celebrating the Holiday season and gaining a valuable learning experience from the giving process. This unique opportunity makes us excited to come back next year and keep providing for our community.
